There’s something about gingham that always pulls me in.


Maybe it’s the way it reminds me of picnic blankets and lemon tarts, or just the feel of sunshine on bare shoulders. I remember wearing a dress just like that little plaid strawberry on a summer afternoon in my thirties—yellow, soft cotton, a little too wrinkled, but it didn’t matter. I was laughing too much to care. The kind of day you hope you don’t forget, even if no photos were taken.


When I made this claw, I didn’t overthink it—I just followed the feeling. The fabric bows, the soft lace, that tiny dangling charm… they all came together like a memory you didn’t know you still had.


It’s playful. It’s tender. And it might just make you smile without meaning to.
